Mariah Vorce, CPNP is a graduate of the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacist, who are generally pharmacists who work directly with patients and caregivers to apply specialized clinical knowledge and skills, educate and train health care professionals and develop new knowledge in order to improve health outcomes for those individuals with psychiatric disorders, including substance use and neurologic disorders.

Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker who practices under the supervision of Martin Schnuit, LCSW-C. She is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work where she received her Master’s of Social Work. There, she was able to complete two internships with USC Telehealth SAFE-T Program providing pro-bono therapeutic & case management services. In-addition, she served on Prince George’s County Local Care Team with the Children, Youth & Families Division providing family support and case management.  Before USC, Mrs. Smith attended Prince George’s Community College where she earned an associates in Paralegal Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice from Virginia Union University.

 

Outside of her devotion in private practice, Mrs. Smith serves as a group facilitator & co-facilitator for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) providing additional support to families caring for loved ones with mental health challenges.

 

Mrs. Smith’s recent work prior to joining Spectrum focused on child, youth and families and young adults dealing with adverse childhood experiences (ACES), post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, physical and sexual abuse, conduct disorders (CD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and family discord.

 

Jennifer’s special interests are working with youth and families, and young adults addressing trauma, depression, bi-polar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, anger management, school problems, behavioral challenges, relaxation and meditation.

Katherine Maas

Katherine Maas, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Georgetown in 2014. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice from George Mason University in 2020.

 

Katherine’s past nursing experience includes critical care, cardiology, community health, and inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. She treats psychiatric patients across the
lifespan. Katherine employs a variety of approaches and methodologies while working collaboratively with her patient to design appropriate and effective treatment plans. She is certified in DBT therapy and employs psychotherapy as an adjunct to managing her patients’ psychopharmacology.

 

Katherine has worked extensively with the pediatric autism community and has helped Anne Arundel County Schools and several AACO advocacy groups to develop community-based programs for special needs families. She has received numerous awards and received recognition for patient care, scholarship, and clinical advancement.

Brian DeLaurentis

Brian DeLaurentis, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who practices under the supervision of Martin Schnuit, LCSW-C. He is a recent graduate of The Catholic University of America’s National Catholic School of Social Service where he received his Master’s of Social Work with a clinical concentration. Before Catholic, Brian attended Manhattan College where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and competed at a division I level in NCAA athletics.

 

Brian has experience working with children and adolescents with multiple issues including behavioral problems, depression, and anxiety. At NIH, he interned within the Social Work department in conjunction with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Lymphoma, NCI Thoracic MOB and NCI Thoracic Surgery teams, and NCI Head and Trach team. Brian also is comfortable working with all ages of adults with a variety of issues.

 

Brian is interested in working with a wide range of clients including those experiencing PTSD, OCD, anxiety, performance-related anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, depression, behavioral problems, bereavement/grief, traumatic stress, and bi-polar disorder.

Timothy Griffith

Timothy Griffith, LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker. He has a wide range of experience in the delivery and administration of human services including: social services, behavioral health, aging and disabilities, public health, and juvenile justice. He received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and he has also completed a variety of post-master’s clinical social work courses, as well as a certificate in substance use counseling.

Mr. Griffith’s most recent clinical work prior to joining Spectrum in November 2019 focused primarily on adults and seniors with serious mental illnesses, many of whom also had substance use or medical concerns.

Areas of professional interest include depression and other mood issues, anxiety, stress, trauma, substance use, grief and loss, anger management, mindfulness, managing physical health concerns, communication and relationship issues, and thinking and perceptual concerns.

Katherine E. Smith, Psy.D., a Psychology Associate, and has earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, in Arlington, VA, and her Masters in Psychology at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. Dr. Smith completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at Associated Clinical Services, a private practice in Springfield VA.

 

Dr. Smith has worked with a wide range of clinical pathology in all ages, but her primary focus is adolescents and young adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, sexuality and LGBT issues, crisis management, suicidal ideation and behaviors, adjustment disorders, and other interpersonal difficulties. She also has a background in working with young children (ages 8+) dealing with diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other emotional and behavioral problems.

Amanda Wiemken, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Spectrum Behavioral Health under the supervision of Scott E. Smith, Ph.D. Dr. Wiemken works with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as with couples and families. She has worked with individuals presenting with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, trauma, and disruptive behaviors. Dr. Wiemken provides evidence-based treatment and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Structural Family Therapy. Dr. Wiemken additionally conducts psychological testing and assessments with children, adolescents, and young adults.

 

Dr. Wiemken received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ. She holds a Masters and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. When meeting with clients, Dr. Wiemken considers all aspects of their personal histories, including life experiences, social relationships, family environments, and learning patterns. Dr. Wiemken values the importance of integrating research, along with clients’ unique individual differences, to best inform treatment recommendations. In addition to implementing evidence-based practices, Dr. Wiemken focuses on the value of a strong therapeutic relationship and collaboration with her clients in session.

Marie Deyro, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist with expertise in the assessment and treatment of pediatric, child, and adolescent populations and family psychology. She conducts developmental and psychological evaluations with a specialty in assessing autism spectrum disorders and/or related developmental disabilities. Dr. Deyro adopts an integrative psychotherapy style in order to meet the specific treatment needs of individuals and families while enhancing their quality of life. Specifically, she utilizes behavioral, cognitive behavioral, and humanistic approaches to treat symptoms related to disruptive behaviors, intellectual and developmental disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), difficulties with attachment/bonding, anxiety, depression, mood disturbances, autism spectrum disorders, and family conflicts.

 

Dr. Deyro holds Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree with a dual major in Psychology and Spanish from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Deyro has obtained her professional and clinical training in diverse settings including inpatient and outpatient hospitals, community clinics, treatment foster care, residential treatment facilities, approved private schools (APS), and mobile and in-home treatment. She completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and a Pre-Doctoral Internship at Elwyn, Incorporated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Louis Woolard, Jr.

Louis E. Woolard, Jr., Ph.D., LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker who earned his degree at Marywood University. His special interests include child, adolescent, adult, and family psychotherapy, and program development. He has extensive experience in providing mental health services to children and their families.

 

Louis Woolard previously was Director of the Child and Youth Services Administration for the Commission on Mental Health Services for the District of Columbia, Director of a community mental health center, and Director of Residential Programs and Community Services for the New York State Office of Mental Health. He has served as a consultant to the juvenile justice systems of both New York State and the District of Columbia. Louis also provides technical assistance and training in the development of community based mental health services to communities across the country.
