 Our offices usually remain open during periods of inclement weather; however, individual clinicians may elect to cancel their scheduled appointments. If you have an appointment during a period of inclement weather, please check your clinician's voicemail greeting for his or her availibility. You may also ring through to our staff, but please be aware that we may be short-staffed and experiencing high call volumes during weather emergencies. Ronald Ellis, Ph.D., LPC

Ronald F. Ellis, Ph.D. (Annapolis Office), Licensed Professional Counselor, received his doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University, a D.Min. in Analytical Psychology from Drew University, and an M.Div., majoring in Pastoral Counseling, from United Theological Seminary. He has also done post-graduate study at Southern Methodist University and at the Jung Centers in Philadelphia, New York, and Zurich.

Dr. Ellis has completed an internship in Geriatric Psychology, and is currently completing requirements for certification as a Clinical Sexologist. He specializes in psychotherapy with adults, relationship issues, grief and bereavement, sexual dysfunctions, and issues related to the later years of adulthood. He has particular expertise in relating spirituality to the process of psychological healing.

Before joining Spectrum, Dr. Ellis was associated with the Washington (DC) Pastoral Counseling Service. Earlier he served as a hospital chaplain and spent some years in musical instrument manufacturing. He has been an instructor of psychology at University of Maryland University College and Anne Arundel Community College; he is currently part-time Assistant Professor in the Graduate Program in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola College of Maryland. He has authored a half-dozen articles for scholarly journals, as well as a chapter in a book.
