Melissa Phillips Jordan, Ph.D.

Melissa Phillips Jordan, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological evaluations. Her professional and clinical training was obtained working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings including hospitals, community mental health agencies, schools, forensic settings, and substance abuse treatment centers. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach to help individuals improve their quality of life and to address symptoms associated with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and trauma-based disorders (such as PTSD), learning disabilities, ADHD/ADD, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has a clear understanding of the factors that impact interpersonal relationships, academic and/or work performance, and utilizes therapeutic  interventions that best support the individual experiencing challenges in these areas.


Dr. Phillips Jordan obtained her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. She obtained her master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from George Washington  University, and her bachelor's in Psychology from Howard University. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at the Brooklyn Learning Center in New York, and her pre-doctoral internship at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Phillips Jordan teaches graduate psychology and counseling courses, and engages in research projects.
