| Edda N. Weissberg, Ph.D., (Annapolis
Office), is a licensed psychologist who received
her doctoral degree from St. John’s University.
She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at The
Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and
Public Health. Dr. Weissberg specializes in working
with children and adolescents, from preschool
age and up. This includes psychotherapy, psychological
testing, parent and school consultation and family
and group therapy. She has worked with children
and adults in various settings, including special
education schools, residential treatment centers,
group homes, medical facilities, psychiatric hospitals,
outpatient clinics, and the Youth Forensics Services
Department for the District of Columbia Family
Court System. Dr. Weissberg has a specialty in
children and trauma, in which she has published
and presented many scholarly articles and lectures.
This includes work in the areas of sudden traumatic
incidents, child physical and sexual abuse, emotional
neglect, domestic violence and community violence.
She is a member of the International Society of
Traumatic Stress Studies and the American Academy
of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Dr. Weissberg
has also received her teacher’s certification
from the Board of Education of the State of Israel
and is fluent in Hebrew. |
