weight and the relationship with food. The clinicians at Spectrum Behavioral

aspects of the eating disorder. The most successful treatment includes a
collaborative effort involving individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy
and psychiatric and medication evaluation. Clinicians at Spectrum will consult
with the patient's primary care physician and nutritionist.
Individual therapy will focus on cognitive restructuring and behavior therapy.
The patient will focus on regulating negative feelings and disordered thoughts.
The patient will develop a healthy relationship with food and learn more
constructive ways to cope and to regulate emotions. Co-existing conditions such
as depression and anxiety will be evaluated and treated as well.
