Our offices usually remain open during periods of inclement weather; however, individual clinicians may elect to cancel their scheduled appointments. If you have an appointment during a period of inclement weather, please check your clinician's voicemail greeting for his or her availability. You may also ring through to our staff, but please be aware that we may be experiencing high call volumes during weather emergencies. If you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
Eating Disorders Anorexia, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorders manifest themselves through intense emotions, attitudes and behaviors surrounding body weight and the relationship with food. The clinicians at Spectrum Behavioral Health will address and treat the physical, environmental and psychological aspects of the eating disorder. The most successful treatment includes a collaborative effort involving individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy and psychiatric and medication evaluation. Clinicians at Spectrum will consult with the patient's primary care physician and nutritionist.

Individual therapy will focus on cognitive restructuring and behavior therapy. The patient will focus on regulating negative feelings and disordered thoughts. The patient will develop a healthy relationship with food and learn more constructive ways to cope and to regulate emotions. Co-existing conditions such as depression and anxiety will be evaluated and treated as well.
